Dukto is an open source multi platform works on LAN. It doesn't need any network configurations for sharing files between mobiles, desktops and Xbox. It automatically discovers the mobile devices, PCs and Xboxes which are connected under the same LAN/Wifi network.
This small awesome utility supports sending text messages, files and folder from one device to another and vice versa. It doesn't need any server client procedure/configurations for sharing when you are connected to same LAN/Wifi environment and discovering different devices/nodes like iOS, Android, Windows Mobile, Windows, Linux, Symbian. So don't worry about network configurations, file permissions, users mapping and other protocols for sharing files between devices compared to traditional server-client model.
Dukto interface is very simple and author of this app 'Emanuele Colombo' has made a very simple design. For sharing between devices, first thing is to launch dukto in all the sharing devices(android, iOS,Mac, Windows and Linux) where data has to be sent or received.
No matter what operating systems/mobile devices the clients are running on, Now you can see all those active Dutko's are listed under buddies menu.

How to use Dukto?
1. Dukto should be installed on at least two devices to make use of it.
2. Launch Dukto in all the sharing devices.
3. Make sure all the devices are on same network.
4. Select the device from buddies list you wish to initiate sharing.
5. Now you can try sending any type of files like mp3, images, pdf's, video files and etc...
