Windows function Keys
F2 = Rename feature is enabled for currently selected item (File , Folder)
F3 = Open search and find all files
F4 = Focus the address bar list in exploer or my computer
F5 = Basically its refresh the screen on windows.
If you're in desktop or any of the browser window, it will refresh the screen
F6 = Moves among windows panel elements in explorer.
F8 = This will open the safe mode while booting the system
F10 = Activates file menu bar options.
Windows keyboard key shortcuts:
Winkey = Show or hides the windows start menu
Winkey + F1 = open the windows help
Winkey + Break or Pause key = Open the system properties window
Winkey + D = Display the windows desktop
Winkey + E = Open my computer
Winkey + M = Minimize all windows
Winkey + shift + M = Restore all the minimized windows or undo the minimize
Winkey + Left Arrow = Shrinks the window to half screen on left side
Winkey + Up Arrow = When in side by side this will take back to full size
Winkey + Right Arrow = Shrinks the window to half screen on right side
Winkey + Up Arrow = When in side by side this will take back to a minimize mode.
Winkey + F = Search for file or folder
Winkey + Ctrl + F = open find computer dialog
Winkey + L = Lock the computer
Winkey + U = Opens the Ease of Access Center or Utility manager
Winkey + T = Set the focus on Taskbar icons, moving the arrows you can open the highlighted application/programs
Winkey + R = Open the run window
Winkey + Enter = Open windows Narrator window.
Winkey + X = Open the power user menu in windows 8
General Shortcuts:
Ctrl + X = Cut the selected item
Ctrl + V = Paste the selected item
Ctrl + Z = Undo an action
Ctrl + Y = Redo an action
Ctrl + Shift + N = New foler creation
Ctrl + Alt + Delete
Delete = Delete the selected file and moved it to Recycle Bin
Alt + Enter = show the properties of the selected item
Shift + Delete =Delete the selected file permanently
Shift + F10 = Display the context menu for the selected item
Backspace = Switch back to parent folder ( one level up)
Ctrl + A = Select All
Alt + Tab = Switch between the opened windows
Alt + Esc = Cycle through the items in order that they had been opened.
Alt + F4 = Closes the active windows, if you're in desktop, this will show shutdown windows dialog window.
Ctrl + Esc = Open start menu
Winkey + Plus Sign = Zoon in
Winkey + Minus Sign = Zoom out
Winkey + P = Open the projector menu options
Winkey + Shift + Esc = Open windows Task manger
